dll. Ciri kedua yang paling menonjol adalah banyak dalam kalimat recount text
itu akan kita temukan kata penghubung antar kalimat ( Conjunction ). Contohnya
: and, the, after, but, or, dll.
Tujuan Recount Text Bahasa Inggris :
Setelah
teman-teman mengetahui apa saja ciri dari recount text, maka sekarang kita akan
membahas apa sih sebenarnya tujuan dari recount text itu ? Semua jenis text
dalam bahasa Inggris mempunyai tujuannya masing-masing. Tak terkecuali recount
text. Recount text bahasa Inggris bertujuan untuk menghibur para pembacanya
melalui cerita mengenai kejadian atau pengalaman “experience” dari penulis.
Sehingga kejadian atau pengalaman yang diceritakan oleh sang penulis melalui

Struktur Recount Text Bahasa Inggris :
Suatu

akan bisa menjadi rumah jika tidak disusun oleh komponen lain seperti pondasi,

sedang asyik-asyiknya bermain di teras rumahku. Tiba-tiba saja suara ribuan
orang mulai berteriakan di kampung kami. Ternyata banjir tahunan mulai
menghampiri kampung kami.

Events : Events dalam bahasa Inggris berisi
peristiwa-peristiwa apa saja yang terjadi di dalam cerita recount text. Misalnya
di atas kita telah membahas tentang banjir. Maka urutan peristiwanya : Warga
kampung langsung berlarian menuju bukit yang ada di sekitar kampung kami. Ribuan
ternak, pohon, dan rumah kami mulai berguguran satu persatu. Kami menyaksikan
kejadian itu di atas bukit. Kami hanya bisa terdiam menyaksikan peristiwa itu.
Tidak lama setelah banjir mulai sedikit menurun tim SAR pun mulai mengevakuasi
korban tenggelam yang nyawanya sudah tidak terselamatkan. Ribuan sorak pun
tumpah melihat sanak keluarga mereka menjadi korban dalam tragedy banjir
tersebut.

Re-orientation : re-orientation dalam bahasa
Inggris berisi kesimpulan, komentar, atau kesan terhadap rangkaian
peristiwa-peristiwa yang ada di bagian Events. Karena kita membahas tentang
banjir di Aceh. Maka re-orientationnya kurang lebih seperti ini : Sungguh
peristiwa yang menyedihkan bagi kampung kami. Semoga kedepannnya masalah banjir
ini akan cepat di atasi.

I want to tell you about my memorable time
in Singapore. It was one of the best holidays I ever had.
I shall never forget the spectacular sight
of the city I saw from Mount Fable that night. The roller-coaster ride, the
stunts performed by the dolphins and the killer whale at the Sea World were
also exciting. I shall remember the thrill of having been no one of the longest
rides in the monorail in Sentosa Island for many years to come.
I also enjoyed various varieties of seafood
at the makeshift roadside stalls at the Chinatown night market. I also enjoyed
the shopping trips. My family and friends agreed that the souvenirs were value
for money, especially the silk scarves with the pretty prints and the
attractive key chains.

The
Nice Experience in Yos Sudarso Primay School
Horraayyy !! We had fun with English in
our school !!. We enjoyed this event on Wednesday 16th January 2008,
at Yos Sudarso Primay School in Karawang. We had waited for it since October
2007. So when the day came, we were really happy. We played many games such as
matching colours, matching pictures, horse racing, running and finding and
spelling bee. We had story telling too.
All students from grade 1 to grade 6
joined Fun with English, so there were 3 slots for the activities. We really
had fun we could practice our English. We also sang together about parts of our
body, and do-re-mi.
Many prizes were given in this event. There
were tickets from Ice World and Gondola of Ancol Bay City, tickets from Water
Boom of Lippo Cikarang, tickets from Insect World and Freshwater World of TMII,
T-shirt, pens, stickers, and many other merchandizes.

Joining the Traditional
Dance Competition
I joined the Traditional Dance
Competition in Jakarta last year. I represented my Junior High School. It was
my biggest competition. I practiced hard with my teacher for a month. We also
prepared the best costume we had.
We only had one day in Jakarta. We went there by
plane. We left at 6 a.m. and arrived in Jakarta
at 7 a.m. We took a taxi to take us to the place where the competition was
held. It took an hour to get there. There were already some participants when
we arrived. The competition would start in an hour.
First, my teacher and I went to the dressing
room. My teacher helped me do the make-up and the costume. We spent almost an
hour for the preparation. I told my teacher that I was really nervous. I was
not ready for this. However, she told me that everything was alright, and I
felt better.
Then, the time came for me to perform
on stage. There were five judges and about two hundred people watching me.
However, I did not feel nervous anymore. I performed on the stage confidently.
I really did the best I could. I was glad when it ended smoothly.
After that, we waited for the
announcement of the result. It was 4 p.m. when the judges finished making their
final decision. I was so impatient to hear the result. I still could not
believe when they called my name as the first winner. I was so happy to be
given the trophy. My teacher was also proud of my achievement. Finally, we went
back to Yogyakarta in the evening. We were so
tired. However, we were satisfied because our effort was not useless.
