c.       Sering terdapat dialog yang sifatnya imajinatif, sehingga membuat pembacanya harus berimajinasi. Sehingga dengan imajinasi yang diciptakan pembaca, bisa membuat cerita narrative text tampak lebih jelas dan nyata.

Generic Structure ( Struktur dari Narrative Text Bahasa Inggris )

Suatu text bisa terlihat panjang lebar, bagus, dan menarik karena ada komponen-komponen yang menyusunnya. Dengan adanya struktur-struktur yang menyusunnya, suatu text akan lebih terlihat rapi. Begitu juga dengan narrative text, narrative text memiliki struktur antara lain :

The Good Frog

                A young and very beautiful princess lost her ball in the water while she was playing by the side of the lake. She began to cry so sadly that the frog who sat beside the lake croaked to her, “What will you give me if I get you your ball back?”

               All the gold you could wish for!” replied the princess. “No, I’ll asked only that I’ll be allowed to stay with you and be your friend,” said the frog. The prince gave her word (what did such promise cost her if it mean she could have her ball back?), but she had absolutely no intention of keeping her promise. In fact, the moment she had her ball back she ran off so fast that the frog could not keep up with her. Nevertheless, after a while the frog arrived at the palace.

               As soon as she saw the frog, the princess was frightened. She ran to ask for help from her father, but the king, who knew what had happened, ordered his daughter to keep her promise. So the princes picked the frog up gently in her hand, but, with a shiver she let it drop to the ground again. But that one brief touch was enough to break the spell that bound the frog, and caused it to run back into a young and handsome prince he had been before.

               The story ends with the happiest wedding ceremony.

The Poor Little Girl

Long long time ago, there lived a man with his 3year old daughter. The man’s job was selling many kinds of paper. One day the man found the girl use one sheet of his paper. He was very angry because he didn’t have any money to buy another gold paper. And he was getting angrier when he knew that the gold paper was used to decorate a box.

The next morning the girl brought the box to his father and said it was a gift for his birthday. The man opened the box and he found that the box was empty. He was angry as he thought that the girl was naughty. He shouted and throw the box away. The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes taking the box and cried, “ Oh Daddy, it’s not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They’re all for you, Daddy”. The father was sad. He put his arms around his little girl and he asked for his forgiveness.

Only a short time later, an accident took the life of the little girl. The man kept that gold box for years and whenever he was sad., he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of her daughter who had passed away.
